First and foremost, DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) is a government administration but does not have access to any SRI Federal Credit Union member information. Your data remains private and secure, protected by industry-leading security measures.
We have also received inquiries about DOGE and Elon Musk, specifically whether they have access to member funds or if our federal funding could be revoked. To be clear, neither Elon Musk nor DOGE has access to any member data, and we are not federally funded. As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution, we operate independently. However, we are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), meaning your deposits are insured up to $250,000 per account. Additionally, accounts can be structured to increase NCUA insurance coverage, offering even greater protection for your funds (read the full “How Your Accounts are Federally Insured Brochure” by clicking HERE).
SRI Federal Credit Union is built to last. Our foundation is strong, and our commitment to serving our members remains steadfast as we continue to grow and adapt in an evolving financial landscape.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more, we invite you to join our annual meeting on Wednesday, March 19th at 12 noon. The event will take place at the SRI International building, with virtual attendance available via ZOOM.
